Right now I mostly use: 1 Healer about 10-15 Giants the rest is a mix of Archers and Minions

(= 23 balloons, 10 goblins, 10 minions, then 5 Mr.T's and a pekoe for fun / when I'm in a tight spot)

i use 6 dragons and 50 minons. i always get at least 50 % destruction. Healers never go where I want them to.....

50%? I settle for nothing less than 100%, unless I'm farming - in which case I surrender before the end haha

I have found that when trying to drop trophies or when you have trophies to spare you can simply use gobs to hit resource production outside of the walls to gain resources while not spending many troops. Generally you surrender the fight but I've left with as much as 50k of each resource while using only 25 or so goblins.

Very interesting in the variety of attack methods. I haven't and wouldn't make balloons if they were free and others use them obviously, very effectively. I think the main theme across all strategies is you have to "overwhelm" with something. For me that has been giants, then it was wizards, now that I carry 200 troops I like a mix of the two. I think the dark troops are awesome (level 3 hogs and level 4 Valkyries now but good all the way up), but I struggle getting my dark elixir back in equal or greater amounts than I use because I am focused on the other resources that are the more common currency.
9 wiz, 9 wb, 1 healer, 75 gob, 8 giants, 11 barb
Barbs dropped mainly for cover fire, to spring traps / bombs, locate teslas, drop 2-3 giants, then all my wb, then all wiz tightly together with 'their' healer, rest of giants, then wait and let progress dictate when to put goblins out, but they either all go at once or maybe in two bursts if they don't go in the direction I want at first. My idea is to overwhelm resources (and walls) so they stay on the move and avoid mass elimination by wiz tower or mortar. I also may use all giants and wait for them to clear air defense for the healer before I put it out with wizards.
Odd, but I haven't used an archer in months. I like them but they don't fit my style. I just upgraded archers to level 6 and plan on trying to replace my goblins with archers, but we will see how that goes. I will say the bulk of successful attacks against me are heavy on archers, most of what you read suggests archers, so I think I am the odd ball here, but that is no surprise to me.
